Broken Bow Lake
Broken Bow Lake is located in Beavers Bend State Park. Covering over 14,000 surface acres, the water is clear and fresh, which is great for swimming and of course.......fishing!
The park is located near the bustling town center of Hochatown off of 259A. In Hochatown, you can dine in a number of wonderful family restaurants after a full day of fishing on the water.
There are many places in town and in Beavers bend Park to rent a variety of boats, such as kayaks and canoes. You can opt for a simple camping trip by the water in the park, or you can level up and rent a classic or luxury cabin to make memories with your family and friends.

Fly Fishing
Beaver’s Bend fly fishing is a fantastic activity to relax and unwind. A special area of Broken Bow Lake that offers the best fish spots for fly fishing is called the four-mile trophy section. This area is special because boats are not allowed in this designated area. This area of the lake also restricts barbed hooks.

2 people is the regular number of clients I take on a trip. The maximum number of people I can take in my boat is 3 people, usually 2 adults and a child, or 1 adult and 2 children. This is for your safety and comfort while fishing. The 3rd person is an additional $100.

Best Fishing Season
With our variety of fish available, every season is the best fishing season in Hochatown!
If you want to save money on cabin rentals and take your trip during the winter, you won’t have to sacrifice your fishing trip. Not only is quieter in Hochatown, February is the perfect time to fish for Walleye in the Broken Bow Reservoir. During this month, the Walleye migrate from the upper Mountain Fork River and into the lake.
Rainbow trout and many species of bass are available all year, so you can truly take your vacation whenever you please. If you want to go during the summer, for any major holidays, or spring break, make sure to book your cabin early before they’re all reserved!

Don’t Forget Your Fishing License
In order to fish in the state of Oklahoma, you must purchase a fishing license. Prices range from $5 a year for youth fishing to $225 for a lifetime fishing license. You can purchase a fishing license at a local convenience store or Walmart in Broken Bow!
Need to purchase a fishing license? Pick one up at the local Wal-Mart or at one of the many area convenience stores selling fishing licenses.
Note: Look for the sticker on the door that specifies they do.

Beavers Bend and its surrounding forests, lakes, rivers and wetlands are an ideal destination for anglers. But before you pack up your gear and head this way, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the area’s fishing regulations and licensing requirements.
Oklahoma fishing license fees and requirements:
An Oklahoma resident or nonresident* fishing license is required of all persons who take, attempt to take or possess fish or other aquatic dwelling organisms by any method in Oklahoma. Persons fishing the Red River must have a valid Oklahoma fishing license unless exempt. Anyone hunting, fishing or trapping must possess the Fishing and Hunting Legacy Permit, unless exempt. Persons fishing on water located within the Honobia Creek or Three Rivers Wildlife Management Areas must have a valid Land Access Permit, unless exempt. All required licenses or written evidence of exemption must be carried while fishing.
*A nonresident is any individual who is a resident of another state or who has resided in Oklahoma for fewer than 60 days, regardless of whether he or she intends to reside in Oklahoma permanently. Land ownership does not constitute residency.
